Anchored in Washington, DC—where politics, history, and power collide—his stories offer readers an immersive experience, capturing the intricate dynamics of his characters and their environments.
A native of Bluefield, West Virginia, Lawson Brooks earned his B.A. in Political Science from Marshall University and M.A. in Political Science at American University in Washington, DC. He also studied at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. Lawson’s career has taken him through diverse roles in government, non-profit, and corporate sectors. Lawson currently resides in Washington, D.C., where he pursues his passions as an Independent Consultant, Author, and Writer.
